Promotions are part-time, the pay varies
from assignment to assignment and you MUST have reliable
transportation and be dependable. A promotional booking is a
commitment to a particular client to promote their product at a
particular location on a certain schedule set by the promotions
company. For example, ladies, you could be promoting Dove's new
product line to women that are walking through a Wal-Mart store near
you. Men, you could be promoting a group of car care products at a
Wal-Mart store near you. These are just examples of past
promotions and do not represent current promotions.
To get started with Reel People Models &
Talent or Haute Models we must first have a current snapshot or photo,
completed application, current agency contract, a form W-9 and a form
I-9 (proof of right to work in the United States) on file in the
agency. Below are links to each of these forms.
When you have submitted your initial paperwork,
call Jeanette or Deborah for information on what promotions and which
cities are currently available and what the requirements are for
each. They are generally 4-8 hour days, mostly on weekends and the
pay ranges from $10 - 24.50/hour. Each assignment (cluster) has
several days that may be in a row or a Saturday/Sunday for several
weekends. Once you have confirmed to do a specific assignment,
you will be required to fulfill that commitment. This is a
business, not a hobby to us -- we take our business seriously and expect
that you will take your bookings seriously. Many of you are
interested in print, runway and commercials. We take your interest
in those areas to heart when individual staff prove that they are
serious by taking their commitments seriously and executing events
properly. These assignments are not difficult, but they do require
fairly organized follow through ability, as do most things in this
industry.
